Our Gingerbread House

Every year my friend, Linda, gives the kids a gingerbread house kit. It's become a tradition of ours to put it together while we are out for Christmas break. I think they ate as many candies as they put on the house!

Christmas Day Part 2

Christmas Day

Santa Presents

Santa Claus was good to the kids this year!

Nicole got a blue Nintendo DS that she has been wanting for a couple of years. She had lip gloss and candy in her stocking.

Natlie got a pink Nintendo DS. She had lip gloss and candy in her stocking.

Lauren got a pink flowered guitar. She had lip gloss and candy in her stocking.

Jack got a Spiderman car and Spiderman transformer toys. He had candy and Hot Wheels cars in his stocking.

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve, we give the kids new pajamas, put out the reindeer food, and leave Santa some milk and cookies. Nicole got cheetah print pajamas because she loves the Cheetah girls. She refuses to admit that the group has broken up. Jack got Spiderman. Lauren got Tinkerbell. Natalie got fuzzy monkey pajamas with feet, so maybe now I'll get my fuzzy teddy bear pajamas back!

An Early Christmas

Merry Christmas 2009! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had Christmas with Rebecca and her family early this year.

Nana and Poppie enjoyed having all the grandkids together.

Robyn loved opening the presents! As soon as the paper was torn, she grabbed it like she knew exactly what to do.

Of course, I had to get some pictures of her in her cute Christmas dress before they went home.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

The REAL Santa Claus

We went to the mall on the Riverwalk and had the most incredible thing happen! We met the REAL Santa Claus. He was sitting on a pavilion in the river that you got to by walking across a bridge. Only a couple of other people were there. He was wearing the most beautiful plush suit we have ever seen. He was wearing a huge gold belt with the initials "SC" made into the front of it. He even had jingle bells sewn into the sleeves. I know you are thinking that he was just the mall Santa who is there from Thanksgiving to Christmas, but he wasn't your typical mall Santa. He was there when we took our pictures, but when we came back a couple hours later he was gone! His chair, the decorations, his box of presents, EVERYTHING was gone!

The St. Anthony Hotel

These are all pictures from the St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio. It was built in 1909. Supposedly it is haunted, but we didn't see any ghosts. HAHA!

Churches

These stained glass windows are at the Methodist church across the street from the St. Anthony hotel. They were beautiful at night!

These pictures are from a Catholic Cathedral downtown.
