Merry Christmas to ME!!

Richard and I went out to dinner Friday night with a gift certificate that some friends gave us for our anniversary this summer. We were going to go to a movie afterward, but we had about an hour before it started, so we went to walk around Best Buy while we waited. We never made it to the movie, but look what I got instead:

It's a Nikon D90 and an extra telephoto lens. I am SO excited! I have been looking at this camera for over a year or two now. (I guess I can take down the ad that I have pinned to my bulletin board! ;-) Looks like the not-so-subtle hint worked.)

Richard said look what I got Mommy for Christmas, and Jack said, "A present for HALLOWEEN?!?!"

Here's a picture with my new toy:

He got these for me Thursday. His mom asked me what kind of trouble he was trying to get out of! :-) I took Halloween pictures with it tonight. Now to figure out what all the settings do!

Happy Halloween

The kids had a great time trick-or-treating tonight! Here they are at our neighbor's house:

Nicole was Sharpey from High School Musical this year. She won "prettiest costume" at the costume contest in town.

Natalie was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz this year, with Miley as ToTo. She won 1st place in the 3rd-6th division in the costume contest at school.

Lauren wanted to be a witch this year. She said, "I don't want to be anything cute! I get called 'cute' all the time. Halloween is the one day I don't have to be cute." She is so funny. I didn't tell her, but I think she makes a "cute" witch!

Jack as Batman.

Photo Blog

I don't update it often, but I finally got around to updating my photo blog. You can click the link in the sidebar if you want to take a look.

Saving Money

In case any of you ladies from church are thinking of donating items for GodTel, Kroger has Bic Soliel disposable razors on sale this week buy one get one free. They are $6.39 and if you use two $3.00 off coupons that were in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago, you can get two packages for 39cents. I think there are 3 or 4 razors in each package.

Also, if you love yummy smelling candles and air fresheners, CVS has Glade soy candles for $6.99 and they give you back $6.99 in extra care bucks that you can use on anything else you want. If you use a $3 off coupon, they will be paying you $3 to take it! Walgreens has Airwick iMotions compact and scented oil air fresheners on sale for $3.99. You can use $4 coupons and get them for free! The cashier will adjust the sale price to $4. I didn't even have to pay tax. Family dollar has Snuggle fabric softener for $3, use a $3 coupon and it is free.

Oh, CVS in Nacogdoches just added a scanner up front near the Halloween items. Scan your card when you go in and you will get coupons. I've gotten $3 off $15 purchase, $5 off $20, free paper towels, free hand soap, etc. You can get two coupons per day. The CVS in Lufkin has one too.

Happy shopping!

What Do You Think?

Three teachers kids and one teacher's aide's grandson all in the same class! When I look at this picture, I don't know whether to say, "Oh how cute!" or "Uh-oh, here comes trouble!" (Ha-ha!) They are all best buds.
