Photo Blog

I don't update it often, but I finally got around to updating my photo blog. You can click the link in the sidebar if you want to take a look.

Saving Money

In case any of you ladies from church are thinking of donating items for GodTel, Kroger has Bic Soliel disposable razors on sale this week buy one get one free. They are $6.39 and if you use two $3.00 off coupons that were in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago, you can get two packages for 39cents. I think there are 3 or 4 razors in each package.

Also, if you love yummy smelling candles and air fresheners, CVS has Glade soy candles for $6.99 and they give you back $6.99 in extra care bucks that you can use on anything else you want. If you use a $3 off coupon, they will be paying you $3 to take it! Walgreens has Airwick iMotions compact and scented oil air fresheners on sale for $3.99. You can use $4 coupons and get them for free! The cashier will adjust the sale price to $4. I didn't even have to pay tax. Family dollar has Snuggle fabric softener for $3, use a $3 coupon and it is free.

Oh, CVS in Nacogdoches just added a scanner up front near the Halloween items. Scan your card when you go in and you will get coupons. I've gotten $3 off $15 purchase, $5 off $20, free paper towels, free hand soap, etc. You can get two coupons per day. The CVS in Lufkin has one too.

Happy shopping!

What Do You Think?

Three teachers kids and one teacher's aide's grandson all in the same class! When I look at this picture, I don't know whether to say, "Oh how cute!" or "Uh-oh, here comes trouble!" (Ha-ha!) They are all best buds.

Grandparents' Day

September 11th was Grandparents' Day at school. The kids were excited to have Nana and Poppie come to school to have cookies and punch with them. They made some cute gifts in their classes for them. Of course, we remembered the anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks and First Responders' Day at school, but it was also a very important day for our family because it has been 20 years since Poppie had his stroke! He is a walking miracle.

Back-to-School

Mrs. Dawn, sorry you had to wait so long! I'll try to update more often. Here are the back-to-school pictures:

Jack was so excited to be going to school like a "big boy". He told us, "I'm growing up!" and when I kissed him on the cheek, he said, "Not at SCHOOL!"

His backpack is almost as big as he is!

Lauren is in 1st grade this year and her classroom shares an air conditioner unit with Richard's classroom, so she bundled up in a sweater even though it was August!

Natalie is in 4th grade this year and has moved to a different building.

Nicole is in 6th grade. This will be her last year on the elementary campus! Next year, she will move to the Jr. High/High School campus. I don't think I'm ready for that!

Natalie's Baptism

Natalie was saved at church camp this summer. We went on vacation right after camp and then Rebecca had Robyn, so she has been waiting to be able to get baptized. She was so excited that she was finally able to this morning. It makes me so grateful to see my children trusting in the Lord. We are truly blessed!
